Are There Any Risks or Contraindications?

Although HydraFacials are perfectly safe for most skin conditions, there are some things to consider before booking in for one. It is normal to see redness or feel a slight tingling sensation after your facial, which should subside within a few hours. We always prefer to be on the safe side and have clients fill out a medical history form beforehand so that we are aware of any risks. You may not be a candidate for the HydraFacial if any of the following apply to you:

· Pregnancy

· Bacterial or viral infection

· Uncontrolled diabetes or high blood pressure

· Impaired immune system or poor healing

· History of cancer within the past 5 years

· Accutane (acne medication) in the past year

· Scleroderma

· Vitiligo

· Melanoma

What Can I Expect During The Treatment?

Upon arrival at your appointment, you will fill out the necessary forms. Once you are brought into the treatment room and are comfortable on the heated table, your spa technician will discuss your goals for the treatment, such as smoothing texture, addressing dryness, reducing wrinkles or treating acne. Once you are ready to begin, the spa technician will do a double cleanse, removing the product with a hot towel, and go through each step as indicated on the screen. After exfoliating and softening your pores with

the blue tip, you will receive a peel and extractions with the teal tip, which may cause a light tingling sensation on the skin. This step utilizes the power of both glycolic and salicylic acid for optimal resurfacing and sebum elimination. The facial ends with an antioxidant treatment delivered with the white tip, and finally sunscreen will be applied for protection from harmful rays.
